Limoges's central location (at the crossroads between the motorway from Spain to Northern Europe and half way between Central Europe and the Atlantic) makes it ideal for all kinds of exchanges.

In 2008, the City of Limoges joined the national network of 139 "Towns and Regions of Art and History". This prestigious label is awarded by the Ministry for Culture to local authorities that have worked to promote the heritage of their region among both inhabitants and visitors.

Escapade to the land of tapestry.

Tulle's history has given the town its unique blend of heritage and culture. Its cathedral, its riversides, its maze of lanes and picturesque neighbourhoods, quaint shops, art galleries and workshops (such as the "Poinct de Tulle" lace workshop) all contribute to making it a special holiday destination. 

Tulle is also the accordion capital : visit the Maugein accordion factory or attend one of the area's music festivals, such as the "Nuits de Nacre" accordion festival. Other interesting places to visit include the Weapon Museum (Musée des Armes) and the Cloister Museum (Musée du Cloître).

The Creuse Valley became a paradise for the Ecole de Crozant (Impressionist school of painters) and the ruins of Crozant became a focal point for landscape artists. The site has remained an ideal spot for painting, photography and is a lovely place for a stroll.
