The Traditional Butchers' House

The Traditional Butcher's House is located in the picturesque Butchers' Quarters. It is one of 52 houses built in the early 13th century and is dedicated to the butchery trade. Nowadays, it is an eco-museum that shows the daily life of the families who lived and worked in this part of town: slaughtering, selling and cooking meats on the ground level, living upstairs, while hundreds of sheep and pig skins dried in the clerestory attic. Tools, pictures of the lively streets, written documents, furniture... a moving tribute to the intimacy of a community that was faithful to its traditions,

Open in July, August and September : every day from 10am to 1pm and 2.30pm to 7pm. Free entrance.
